Operating Instructions

Popcorn Popper

  1. Always plug the machine into a grounded outlet Place the machine on a sturdy table or countertop with the controls facing the operator.
  2. There are 3 switches on the popper
Light and Warmer – Light and popped popcorn warmer
Stir – Turns on the motor to stir the popcorn in the kettle
    Kettle – Kettle heat
  3. To begin, turn on the kettle heat and wait 5 minutes.
  4. Switch on the stir mechanism.
  5. Add the pre-measured popcorn and oil.
  6. Slide the lid down over the kettle by gently pulling it down from the magnet that holds it to the top of the machine.
  7. When the popping corn pushes the lid up, slide it back to the top of the machine and allow the popcorn to fall into the hopper below.
  8. When it sounds like the popping is slowing down, pull the kettle towards you, then down to dump the popcorn out. Do not wait for all popping to stop; popcorn will burn. Some unpopped kernels are normal.
  9. Add the next batch of pre-measured popcorn and oil and repeat. Optimum performance is typically reached after 3-4 batches.
  10. Use the aluminum scoop to dispense the popcorn into sacks, sliding the narrow end into the bag and using the wide end to scoop up the popcorn.

Shutdown

  • When completing the final batch of popcorn, turn the kettle heat off.
  • After dumping out the final batch of popcorn, turn off the “stir” mechanism.
  • Remove all excess popcorn from the bottom of the machine.
  • Clean machine (see cleaning instructions).

Cotton Candy

  1. Always plug the machine into a grounded outlet. Floss head rotates at 3450 RPM. Operator must keep hands and face clear of the floss head and keep spectators at a reasonable distance.
  2. Place the machine on a sturdy table or countertop with the controls facing the operator.
  3. Unscrew the two transport screws on the unit on either side of the floss head. Do NOT run the machine with these screws in the UP position.
  4. Place the floss bowl on the motor assembly. It rests on the rubber stoppers on the motor assembly. It does not connect or hook to the machine in any way.
  5. Place the mesh stabilizer around the edges of the bowl, overlapping the ends slightly to fit. Slide the metal clips over the bowl and the mesh at several of the corners of the bowl.
  6. Place the clear bubble on top of the floss bowl, pointing the opening on the same side as the machine controls. This is where the operator will stand.
  7. Fill the floss head with one cup or less of floss sugar. When adding sugar to the floss head, always fill it 90% full to obtain a balanced condition in the heat on high until you start to see the floss forming. Then turn the heat back to a medium setting. After warm up, equipment should make good floss at a reduced setting. Never let the machine operate with the heat so high it produces smoke or causes the sugar to burn

Making Floss
Pick a cone; if it sticks in the stack of cones, twist it off the stack. Hold an inch or two of the pointed end of the cone between two fingers and a thumb. With a light flicking action, roll cone in the web of floss building up in the pan. Lift the cone up with the ring of floss attached and rotate the c one to wrap the floss. DO NOT roll floss while the cone is inside the pan. This will pack the floss too tightly. Make sure room humidity is not too high or product will be too firm.

Shutdown
When completing operation for the day (or any prolonged period), run all the sugar out of the floss head. Never put anything sharp or hard in floss head. No not remove built up sugar with hard object. Unplug unit and wipe floss head gently with damp cloth.
When empty, turn the heat to highest position for approximately one minute to “clean” the band by baking off remaining sugar. NEVER put water in the floss head
Clean the machine (see cleaning instructions)

Sno Kone

  1. Always plug the machine into a grounded outlet.
  2. Machine must be plugged into a grounded outlet to prevent electrical shock.
  3. Place the machine on a sturdy table or countertop with the controls facing the operator.
  4. Set the cabinet on the drip tray. Make sure to put the drain hole over an area that is okay to get wet or into a bucket. Melted ice, and condensation go into the drip tray.
  5. Plug in machine. Turn on light switch (located on front of cabinet). Light will come on in cabinet.
  6. Push and hold the motor button. The motor will only run while the motor button is depressed.
  7. Wait for the motor to come to full speed. Keep fingers away front shaver body when motor is running to prevent injury.
  8. Fill gooseneck an inch from the top with ice cubes, The SnoKone Machine can take ice cubes or block ice broken into small (3″ or so) chunks. The bigger the ice piece, the better the snow. The ice will not enter the shaving chute if its too large. Put only ice in the gooseneck to prevent damage to the blades.
  9. The design of the shaving chute automatically draws the ice against the blades. There is no need for manual effort.
  10. Push the pusher handle down against the ice in the gooseneck. Apply firm and even pressure to make the best snow. Do not force handle.
  11. Too much pressure will result in snow that is coarse; too little pressure will make the snow mushy.
  12. Repeat until you have enough shaved ice.

Fun Spinner

  1. Always plug the machine into a grounded outlet.
  2. Place the machine on a sturdy table or countertop with the controls facing the operator and the plexiglass lid opening toward the customer.
  3. Flip the switch in the back to the ON position. Spinner will not turn while the lid is up. Place a card on the bracket inside the machine
  4. Lower the lid. The spinner will start to turn. Allow the customer to choose one bottle of paint at a time and drip the paint through the slot in the clear lid.
  5. Remind them less is more – do not allow them to squeeze large amounts of paint into the machine. Be prepared to remove the paint from their hand if they do not follow directions.
  6. Have the customer drip the paint up and down the length of the slot for best results. 3 colors is usually optimal; more than that and everything tends to become brown!
  7. When the customer is satisfied with their painting, raise the lid and wait for the spinning to stop.
  8. Remove the card and pace on a table or counter and allow to dry.

Shutdown

  1. Move the power switch to the off position.
  2. Unplug the machine and coil the cord.
  3. Remove the paint bottles.
  4. Clean machine(See cleaning instructions).
  5. Replace paint bottles in their holders.
